Claims already existing, that it would not be sufficient to liquidate the indebtedness of the County. The State law provides that Jury certificates shall be receivable in payment of County Tax and every man who holds a Jury certificate will supply it to the payment of his County Tax. The law also requires the County Courts to set apart a fund sufficient to meet the Poor House Expenditures. I now proceed to make a rough estimate so as to show the resources of the County, to wit:  County Tax after paying for Asesing Collecting, and deductions for Insolvent Tax payors & runaways will leave about Four Thousand Dollars.
