Acting on your suggestion, I have in the accompanying letter, made some suggestions, which you are at liberty to use as you may think advisable.

I now beg to call your attention to the points within my knowledge on the Alabama and Tennessee river rail road, where relief is most needed, and from which the greatest number could be conveniently supplied with corn; with the names of persons whose fidelity and attention can be implicitly relied on to carry out your views. Begining next to Selma: 
First: Maplesville depot Turner M. Goodwin will be a very proper and reliable agent. 
Second: Randolph: Agents, Sam'l F. Houston, and Johns Lathem.
