Office Assistant Superintendent,
Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands,
Talladega, Ala, 16th Feby 1867

Col. O.D. Kinsman
Supt.

Col.
I would respectfully request that you cause the Surgeon in chief to ship to me a selection of medicine, such as would be safe for a man of no medical education, but an experienced man in sickness to prescribe to patience: castile soap is more needed than any other article. Mr. Miller is a very cautious man and of greate experience in sickness and with a suply of medicine at present I would not be inconvenienced for the want of a physician

I am Col
Very respectfully
