Talladega Ala Febr. 19th. 1864
Col. O. D. Kinsman
Superintendent
Montgomery, Ala

Colonel:
I have the honor to report that Mr. Wilda, whom you sent to me as a Clerk, arrived this morning.
On my estimate for this month I asked for $20.00 to pay for making garments for the inmates of the Hospital, but afterwards I found three women in the Hospital, who could make the clothing (by close watching) consequently will not employ any clothing made — I have greatly improved the condition of the inmates of the Hosp. and have purchased 130 yards of cotton cloth. I have already clothed the most needy and begin to see the benefit of my labor in several respects.
If consistant will you be so kind to furnish me a complete file of orders for 1866 and 67
I am, Colonel
Very Respectfully, Your obd't serv't
Jas F. McGogy
Asst. Supt't.
