Athens Aug 24th, 1867

I, John B. McClellan as the Judge of the Probate Court of Limestone County, in the State of Alabama deem it my duty as such Judge to lay before you what now follows and ask for your instruction touching the same, to wit: 
One Richard Harris, Col. through his attorneys Coman and Jones filed in this Court his petition in writing, on the 25th day of July, 1867, propounding and asking for the probate of a certain paper writing as the last will and testament of one William W. Harris, dec'd, late of Limestone County, State of Alabama. That said petition was received by the Court and marked filed, and the Court, appointing the 12th day of August 1867 for the hearing of the same according to law citation issued to the next of kin to come forward on that day and show cause, if any they could why said paper writing should not
