He the Said Richard Harris, Col, being advised to this Course by D H Bingham, and Not being actuated by belief, on his his part that he could not get Justice in Said Probate Court, Deponent further States that he has no reason to believe, and does not believe that he Could not get Justice in Said Probate Court. Deponent further States that he has not heard and does not know of any injustice having been done to persons of Colour in either the Probate or County Court of Said County, both presided over by Said Judge, to wit. John B McClellan; Deponent further States that he is desirous that the aforesaid affidavit heretofore made through ignorance persuasion of others, And misapprehension. he withdrawn, and that Said Probate Court he permitted to [[?]] with the case; Defendant further States that he believes his wife Jane Harris, Col, and his Mother in law, Ailsey, entertains the Same view of the whole matter as himself. And he makes this affidavit as well on their behalf as his own.
