When I left Butler last June she offered to give up to me all three of the boys that were apprenticed to bring to mobile but as I had not transportation convenient I got her a good home with Dr. Lassiter and she was to keep the boy Wylie and she promised that when I got settled in Mobile she would come with Wylie and her infant and live with me at Mobile as she had previously done.

In regard to the education of the children I would state that only one is old enough to commence studying and that I have purchases books and he is being taught by my wife and I expect her and my daughters to continue it on to send them to school. I am disposed and pledge myself again to carry out any undertaking faithfully.

In regard to the wishes of the children: Tom says he wants to go to see his mother but wants to come back to me again but not to stay with his mother. Ned wishes to stay with me.
