Dear Sir
I again address you in regards to the settlement of my claim. I have written to you several times but communication is so uncertain between this place and Montgomery and even Mobile that I am persuaded you have not seen my letters. I certainly think you would have answered them if you had because you promised me faithfully so to do. The Asst Commissioner certainly has the power to settle my claim or you would not have written here months ago. "He is now ready to decide upon the value of your services rendered."
