List of Murders, Murderous Assaults and Outrages Committed by Whites upon Freedmen in the District of Demopolis Alabama which were brought to the notice of Bvt Maj C. W. Pierce Supt B.R. F. & A.L. since January 1st 1866

Murders
1st Freedman shot and killed in Sumter County in January for visiting plantation contrary to orders.
2nd Freedman in Sumter Co. shot and killed by an Officer while attempting to make an arrest
3rd Freedman beat to death by his employer in Choctaw Co in May.
4th Freedman brutally murdered in Sumter Co in June
5 Freedman brutally murdered near Greensboro in June.
6th Freedman shot and killed by his employer in Greene Co in August
