that he has no Post Office in his neighborhood & none nearer than Wetumpka that the paper he saw was about the 16 or 17 of April & if that paper had Gen Orders No 3 in it he did not see it & that he has seen no paper in his neighborhood since the 16" day of April 1867.

Willis Roberts being sworn stated that the last issue of the Elmore Messenger was on the 11th day of April 1867. Mr Roberts says he publishes the Elmore Standard & the Number of April 24th 1867 contained Gen Order No 3 & it is the first time he could have had published in his paper
