Prine assault with intent, and the Sherriff of Dale Co. holds a capias on charge of murder against him two mo.  John Demies grand larceny confirmed five months. Prine states that he with others had been drinking - and a party pursued him and he cut with his knife against them. In regard to the murder committed in Dale Co. He with others were trying to escape from Rebel Conscript Cavalry and some of the Rebel Cavalry were killed by some of the fugitives. He has been threatened with death if he remained at home since his return because he was connected with the United States army - he does not believe he can get justice on trial before Rebels. I am also of the opinion that he cannot get justice on trial before Rebels.  Especially in that locality. John Wiley colored has a school numbering twenty five scholars. They are poor and not in as good condition as colored children generally -
