We the undersigned Citizens of Calhoun Co. would most respectfully ask that M. M. Woodruff the ration agent at this place be removed. Because
1st He refuses to issue Government rations to poor people who are friends to The Government.
2st Because he issues the Government supplies to people who are unfrenly to the Government because of exclusion of deserving union families 
3rd He acts unfrenly in his official capacity to poor people who to you the rebel army and grants favors to those who were and still are the enimes of the Government and that to for no other resan than that they are such enemies.
4th Because he as in many cases acts fraudulently as in this case He sent [[strikethrough]] sent [[/strikethrough]] the Government corn to Snows Mill and had it ground so that it was not fit for use.

Your petitioners ask an investigation of this case and hope such steps will be taken as will secure to the indigent of our country a [[strikethrough]] fare [[/strikethrough]] fair and impartial distribution of the rations which have been appropriated by the Government for their use.
