Sir:
I have the honor to recommend an increase to the salary of R. W, O'Connor, Clerk in this office, from seventy five dollars ($75 00/00) per month his present pay - to ninety dollars ($90 00/00) per month to take effect this present month.
Mr O'Connors duties confine him principally in the office, and require close application ordinarily from Eight o'clock a.m. until five o'clock p.m. during week or working days: In addition to the regular clerical duty pertaining to complaints, correspondence, returns and reports of the Bureau: He has the Correspondence passing to and from Head Quarters and the Hospital at Garland Ala. to record, Monthly Returns of Stores pertaining to Bureau of R.F. and A.L. Monthly returns of C.C. and G. Equipage, Quarterly Report of Stores on hand &c and Returns of Supplies issued to Destitute
