Office of Sub-Assistant Commissioner.
Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands,
Sub District of Greenville,
Greenville, Ala., Augt 5th 1867

O.D. Kinsman Esqr.
Sub Asst Commissioner
Bureau of R. Freed AL
Mongomery Ala

Sir
I have the honor to transmit, you herewith, returns for July of the number of inmates at hospital, Garland Ala, with the number of rations received for them. I cannot state the number of rations issued until I receive Surgeon Mooar's monthly statement, nor can I say that the number entered on these returns is correct. The Surgeon writes that he called for 1426 rations but having received no inventory from the Commissary with the stores, he doesn't know exactly how much they sent him. This report therefore can be considered correctly only in so far as it concerns the Inmates. So soon as Surgeon Mooar receives "hospital abstracts' from the Commissary he writes, that he will at once forward his report
