I propose to Rent or Lease to Capt' Arthur, for the use of the United States a certain track or parcel of Land, situated two miles South of the corporate limits of the Town of Talladega, known as the Bailey place containing one hundred and ninty acre's, with eighty acre's of cleared Land, with all the Building's, and out Houses, which consists of two Houses, with two rooms each, with good chimney's, a good Smoke house, and corn crib. also a good cotton house.  The garden is paled in. there is also a good orchard, with an excelent well of freestone water, a Spring that affords a good supply of water all through the year. Also a branch of good water running through the place.

Which I propose to let Capt' Arthur have for ($250) two hundred and fifty dollars a year, with the privilege of two years more, at the same rates, or he has the privilege to purchase the Same for ($1000) one thousand dollar's cash on delivering the premises, reserving one acre, which is the family grave yard. the said Capt Arthur shall have for the use of the United States the privilege of all the timber
