Lafayette Ala 12th June 1867

Major-General Swayne

My Dear Sir
Will you please permit me to suggest that the provisions which you so kindly promised to send to my care, for distribution to all classes of destitute, be ordered to Cusseta, rather than to West Point, as there will be necessarily a considerable amount of wagoning, and the former place is nearer and the road much better.

We are receiving some supplies at present, which are helping along, and look with pleasure the arrival of your kind and timely contributions.

With unbounded esteem
I am your obednt servt
Benj. F. Rea M.D.
