I receipted the R R., as the books of the R R Agent will show.

The Bacon and corn was received in bad order — the casks being broken open — the corn sacks torn in a frightful manner. I believe the Agents are satisfied that they got all that was coming to them under the circumstances, as there was bound to be a loss from the fact the rations were in bad order when received.

I should be glad to have any further instructions for the future management of any supplies that may come to this point from you.

Let me hear from you soon upon the subject.
