The Bacon and corn was received in bad order ā€” the casks being broken open ā€” the corn sacks torn in a frightful manner. I believe the Agents are satisfied that they got all that was coming to them under the circumstances, as there was bound to be a loss from the fact the rations were in bad order when received.

I should be glad to have any further instructions for the future management of any supplies that may come to this point from you.
