Lieutenant; I have the honor to report that the U.S. Marshall Hardy has been in this city, and, it seems, completed his arrangements for the sale of the Government Property advertised by him some time since.

In view of the wording of the Telegram from the General Commanding, dated January 17th, 1867, I would ask what action I am expected to take in the matter.
