List of Murders, Murderous Assaults and outrages committed upon Freedmen within the District of Selma, in 1866

1 Freedman shot near Bellevue, Dallas County in January or February

2 Bodies of five freedmen found in the woods below Cabaga, three with bullet hole through the skull. Found in March, Probably killed in January

3 Freedman coming from Warrenton to Selma in custody of two men, had his throat cut. Early in January.

4 Freedman shot in Cahaba, April or May.

5 Freedman shot in streets of Selma. May 11th

6 Freedman shot near Selma, in July.

7 Freedman shot at Saltmarsh place near Cahaba, first of September.

8 Freedman shot on Gordon's plantation 4 miles from Selma, Last of September.
