Hon. Geo. W. Stone;

Dear Sir;

I sent you a few days after your visit, a map of my estate &c. and a suggestion of a plan to meet Capt. Reynold's lien (namely, by an advance from some where a Cotton Harvest), & requesting
a speedy reply, which many letter I fear you did not receive since I have not rec'd a reply. I wish to inquire, if you
got those papers, for if not, I will write you again,
and also, to inquire if you could not get Genl. Swayne
to ship me 50 sks. corn as a loan. (and according to a plan approved and considered necessary by Genl. Howard himself as I rec'd evidence from a friend and connection in St. Louis*, a few days ago).
