Office Chief C.S. 3rd Military District.
Atlanta, Ga. May 31st 1867.

General,
The subsistence department has on hand at New Orleans La one thousand (1000) barrels of corn meal, which they would be glad to supply you with if required, and will deliver it at $6.75/100 to $6.85/100 per barrel. The meal is all in good condition, and fresh now (kiln dried) and was purchased for the purpose of supplying the wants of the destitute, and it is desirable that it may be used before becoming liable to spoil.

Very Respectfully
Your obdt Servt
