On monday June 17th 1867 between the house of four and five o'clock PM. I had business of importance in the uper part of the city, I got on the Dauphine Street Car No "2, between Saint Joseph and Conception Streets, I was ordered to leave the car by the conductor whose name I did not learn thus being deprived of this night to ride on a public carriage. I have been the looser in my business relation, I therefore wish to enter quick against the said Dauphine Street Car Company to indemnify me in the loss I sustained by being denied the exercise of a civil right
