I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 24th Inst. authorizing me to Rent a suitable Stable &c.
I enclose estimate for Repairs of Transportation agreeable to your instruction
I do not understand whether it is your desire that a Blacksmith or a wheel-wright to employed, or that this work be done at the shops in town, I have supposed the latter and have had estimates made by reliable mechanics from city shops, who have carefully examined the articles to be repaired,
I think it would be cheaper to get the Smithing done at the city Shops in future as there cannot be work enough to keep a Smith busy, & we then shall not need purchase tools &c.
