the charge of the county, I must think that any transfer to them would be very objectionable especially in the interest of the Freedmen.

I would respectfully recommend that if possible arrangements be made with the U.S. Court at the sale of the Hospital Property that it continue in the use of the Bureau as now without Rental until such time as they may arrange for its surrender to the purchaser say July 16th 1868.

While waiting your further orders I will continue the Hospital and Colony as heretofore
