First I have told my hands this & of course they must be dissatified to know they have made the crop & cannot get pay. I am totally unable to pay them outside of the crop & I dont see any help for them without your aid. if you see proper therefore to order me to sell cotton enough to pay them their wages & the Doctors Bills I will proceed to do so. I would state that Judge Ghohon is now living in Leverpool & the trustee in this state is not authorized to act outside of our written agreement
The Bearer Anthony who represents the Labor on my plantation can give you the wishes of his people
