by the white men about one half of a square, down Cedar St. That said Thomas and a number of colored men returned to the car and pointed to the man that had knocked said Thomas down. That they said to a policeman, Arrest him which the policeman refused to do and [[strikethrough]]then the[[/strikethrough]] a Mr McAdery came up and said to Thomas, "go away now the fuss is over" and Thomas replied saying No sir I want that man arrested - and This Mr Fowler said if he does not go away we will arrest him, and upon Thomas refusing to go away he the said Thomas was arrested by the said Policeman and he the said Lucien followed the said Thomas down to the guard house. That the following morning he the said Lucien appeared at the Mayors Court and upon entering the Court Room was arrested and fined fifty Dolls [[dollars]] or Thirty days to the guard house the charge being made against him was that of Disorderly Conduct and trying to incite a riot.
