Affidavit of R.B. Thomas 
in the matter of the State vs. said Thomas

R.B. Thomas makes oath and says that on the 16th day of this month about the hour of one o'clock in the city of Mobile, he was on [illegible strikethrough] Hamilton Street of this city proceeding towards Government Street; that he saw a street car coming up Government Street & thought to ride to his destination in the out skirts of the city & as the car stopped near the corner of Hamilton he got onto the said car. There was no passengers in said car; that the driver of the said car came to him & said that the car was for white people only & that he could not ride in it, but that he could get in the next car coming out; that he said Thomas did leave after
