Maj Greene,-
Dear Sir
This is to introduce Mr AA Griffin who is the ration agent for this county. Mr Griffin has understood that some complaints have been made to the Department in reference to the management of the rations for this county, & he visits you for the purpose of connecting them He has also understood that Mr A Folmar is likely to supplant his as Agent If these things be so, I desire to say that I am persuaded the Mr G has discharged his duty fully & impartially. He is & always has been a sincere Union man & though he has no advantage of Mr Folmar in that respect, I should hate very much to see him removed. Will you do my the favor to give this matter your personal attention & anything you can do for he Griffin will be highly appreciated by,
Your obt serv't
