Bureau Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands. 
Washington, D.C., August 1st 1867.

Elisha Morgan Jr. is hereby appointed a Clerk in the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, State of Alabama, at a salary of one hundred dollars per month.

This appointment is made under the provisions of "An Act to continue in force and amend on Act to establish a Bureau for the relief of Freedmen and Refugees, and for other purposes." It will take effect July 1st 1867 and remain in force until revoked by orders from this office.

The oath required by law will be taken and filed in the office of the Asst. Commissioner of the State of Alabama.
