General
In reply to your communication of the 26th ultimo, I have the honor to state, that I have made arrangements to discontinue the rent for the stable on the 15th inst. provided orders are received up to that time dispersing of the stock. As the stable is likewise used as a storehouse, I would respectfully suggest that orders be issued authorizing me to turn in all stores not required for use at this station. The utensils used at Soup kitchen, the Coffins and C.C & G Equipage might be transferred to Talladega, the mules, wagon &c. to Montgomery. If such arrangements are made, a small storeroom, at a rent from $10 to $15. per month will be sufficient for all purposes. The horse can be returned to the Government stable.
I am, General, very respectfully
