Sir

There is in the employment of this Company a freedman Bob Osborne whose wages are One dollar per day About the 10th of this month the Treasurer received a service of Garnishment from the Justice Court of Girard Ala ordering him to report to the Court whether this Co was indebted to said Osborn, and if so to retain said amount for the purpose of satisfying a suit brought against Osborn for about twenty eight dollars Upon the application of said freedman for payment due him for services he was informed of the fact of the Company being garnished and was recommended to apply to the Agent of Bureau of RF & AL in Girard for advice.
He brought this day the enclosed order from JB Healy Agent Bureau RF and AL in Girard and which is respectfully sent for the purpose of ascertaining what course is best for the Company to pursue in like cases. Will an order from the Agent Bureau RF and AL be sufficient to protect the Company from a second payment
