H. 53. D of A. (D.C.A.) 1868 Livingston Alabama March 19th 1868. Hale, S.A. States that George. W. Hayes who was acting as Freedmens Bureau Agent at Livingston, did draw from a commission Merchant at Mobile by the name of Voss the sum of 1000. Dollars belonging to the freedmen in employ of James A Powell. Requests an order to be issued for the arrest of said Hayes. E&M "B" p 155. D of A. (D.C.A.) 1868.
