I addressed a communication to Major Genl O.O. Howard, Commr dated June 4th ultimo in which was enclosed a Postal order drawn on the Post Office at Tuscumbia, Ala., to the order of Eviline Peyton - colored, (living with John C. Heister, near Frankfort, Ala.) for the sum of $35.00, and requested that it be forwarded to the Bureau Agent. at Tuscumbia, with instructions that said agent see to it personally that she received the money, and assist her in her departure for this place - the object of the money being to have her return to her parents living here. 
I most respectfully solicit information at your earliest convenience as to whether Eviline received the money- also whether she started for home-no tidings having been had of her since the above referred to Communication was forwarded.
