0806 [[stamp]] THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF THE UNITED STATES [[/stamp]] Office Agent B.R.F & A. Lands. Tuskegee, Ala. July 18. 1868. Lieut. Jno. Bannister, Sub. Asst. Commr., Opelika, Ala. Sir, I have the honor herewith to tender this my resignation with the request that the same may be accepted as soon as practicable. Should an office of the Bureau be continued at Tuskegee (and I think one necessary) I would respectfully recommend for my successor Doctor J. B. Kendall of this place. Doctor Kendall can take the Test Oath, is a loyal Citizen and one worthy and well qualified to fill the Office — Respectfully, Sir, Your obedt. Servant. P.E. O'Connor Agent
