General
I have the honor to ask that Mr.W.J. Anderson may be appointed clerk in the Bureau at Seventy five dollars ($75) per month to date from Decr 15th 1867 and to end Feby 15th 1868 Mr. Hendrix (the Agent at this place) has discharged his duties heretofore without a clerk but the press of business at this season has rendered it necessary to temporarily employ one. After the laborers are again settled for the year the clerk can be dispensed with.
