[[stamp]] THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF THE UNITED STATES [[/stamp]] Colonel I am directed by Brevet Major=General O.O. Howard, U.S.A., Commissioner, &c., to enclose herewith, for delivery to him, the discharge of Leroy Jones late a Private Co, "F", 44th Regt U.S.C Troops together with letter from the Second Auditor of the Treasury, reporting adversely on his claim for Bounty The last known Post=office address of the claimant is Athens, Ala. Please date and sign the accompanying from of receipt for discharge certificate, &c., and return same to this Office. Forwarded by J.H.W. Mills, late Agent &c at Athens, Ala.
