[[stamp]] THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF THE UNITED STATES [[/stamp]] Colonel I am directed by Brevet Major=General O. O. Howard, U. S. A., Commissioner, &c., to enclose herewith, for delivery to him, the discharge of Albert Mitchell late a Sergeant Co. "F", 42nd Regt U. S. C. Troops together with letter from the Second Auditor of the Treasury, reporting adversely on his claim for Bounty The last known Post=office address of the claimant is Athens, Ala. Please date and sign the accompanying form of receipt for discharge certificate, &c., and return same to this Office. Claim forwarded by J.H.W. Mills, Late Agt Bu &c at Athens, Ala.
