I am directed by Brevet Major=General
O.O. Howard, U.S.A., Commissioner, &c., to enclose herewith, for delivery to him, the discharge of George Taylor late a Private Co. "I" 15th Regt U.S.C. Infantry together with letter from the Second Auditor of the Treasury, reporting adversely on his claim for Bounty, &c. 

The last known Post=office address of the claimant is Athens, Ala.

Please date and sign the accompanying form of receipt for discharge certificate, &c., and return same to this office.
