Bvt. Major William Fowler

Dear Sir

i Received From your office on the 18th of Febr a Blank Form For Bounty i Had it Filled out with the Probate Judges Seal affixed as was Required and Sent on to Washington on the 19th day of Feb. and i Have not Received an answer From it yet Please Let me know if it was Received at your Office as i am verry much in need of some Money i was wounded on the 25th day of June 1868 while acting as deputy Bailiff and Have to keep my Bed yet the Shot took Effect in my Left Shoulder and Lung i am in A verry deplorable Condition without medical attendance and depending on Strangers For a Roof to Shelter my Head, Please if you can do anything in Regard to Sending me my Bounty i Sincerely wish you would do So
