| Lucina Huntly col VS Martin Duncan | Wadesboro March 27th 1868  Complains that her son Oliver was hired to work 1869 for M Duncan for $50, that David Huntly held the contract but in January 68 M Duncan wrote a note for $24, and gave to him and told him to go and get the contract as the supposed man ran to settle with her, that Duncan afterwards got the contract which he wanted. | March 27th 1868 Wrote to M Duncan to write me concerning this complaint. March 28th M P Duncan writes that he has paid Lucinda one 1/2 of what he owes her and proposed to let her have bacon & meal towards the balance will pay her the cash as soon as he can collect it |

| Ben Pratt col VS G W Martin Wh | Wadesboro March 28 68 Complains that he rented some land from G.W.M. that he] Ben had cleared up last year and now GW M has rented land to other parties. G W M refuses to let this land go to Ben. G W M son William told Ben that night if he saw him on this land he would blow his brains out and want to T Strick approve my decision | March 28 68 Decided that as Ben had cleared this land that he is entitled to it for this year G.W M me 1/3d for here land. Ben proves by Eli Pratt that he had then refused of this land. G. W. M. claims that Ben told him he did not want the land. |
