| Adam Little col v.s. Nash LaGrand wht | Wadesboro July 20th 1868  Complains that Dr Legrand was to pay him $11. 1/4 bu meal 4 lbs meat & 1 qt molasses for making him a waggon bed. he received the meal molasses and 2 lbs of meat. Adam hired Sam McKay to help him, and Mr Le Grand got mad at Adam and drove him off when he had only one days work more to do. Adam told Sam not to work any more, but he did and Mr Legrand paid Sam - and wont pay Adam when A. was the contractor |   |

| Lilpha Pratt Co vs Hampton Rickett Col | Wadesboro July (29) 30th 1868  Complains that she & her husband Hampton Ricketts are in a contract with George Ricketts That she has three children by Hampt That Hampt wants to get rid of her & take the children & take up with her sister named Lydia now attending Mr Gales School Asks that she be allowed to live in the house she now occupies and with Hampt & her children | July 30th 1868  Wrote to Hampt Ricketts through George Ricketts to let Lilpha remain in the house with him & her children and to live as White folks do. That Lilph can keep the children in case you part.  Have reported with Geo Ricketts. I advise that they live together until fall and then divide their crop & part. |

| Ransom Hall Col vs Angus Livingston w John McGregor w | Wadesboro Aug 3rd 68  Complains that on Monday 20th ult A Livingston & John McGregor came to his house (on Mrs Shrink place) and searched his house as they said for a swingle tree & [[?]] said they had a search warrant from a magistrate. Called no name nor found any stolen property | Case to be referred to next Court |

Streeter owes him $31.26 on demand shown due bill signed T C Streeter dated 17 Jany 68. for amt  State that he owes T C Streeter for Corn $12.25 for Tobacco $1.27 leaves balance of 17.74 | Wadesboro Aug 3. 68  Wrote to T C Streeter of this amt due Wiat Robinson & to settle with him for the amt or adjust the matter at this office |
