Dear Sidney,

I mailed a package to you last Friday. It was not insured so let me know if it does'nt reach you and I'll take it up with Uncle Sam. An apron & holders for Doris and bird "pitcher books" for you & dot You like those bird calendars I used to send you so I thought you'd like these & Dot too. I've also sent the pattern of the little dress Doris wanted. I kept a pattern for myself and thought I'd make Dot a dress of some of the everfast suiting. Its a heavy cotton material good for winter and would Doris rather I put sleeves in it? I have a sewing machine now so I can keep busy at something or other. We have had some nice weather since the cold spell but it wont revive the things that were killed by the frost. Been some years since we had any weather like that & I dont remember it as early as November

[[top margin]] No further news about a market. I'll probably have to wait a few days but I dont feel very hopeful that it can be worked out satisfactorily. [[/top margin]]
