Ralph is a good boy and I hope she will be one to give [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] him the training he needs, & will tell him where "to head in." Let us pray she will not be so extravagant as he is.

I'm ever so glad you are stronger Sidney but I'm sure you work too hard you and Doris both. You are under too much pressure but who isn't now-a-days? Egbert is getting ready to start fattening broilers for the market he did well at it years ago & I hope will again. This is the only part of Inglewood where we can keep more than a few chickens now. Egbert is miserably unhappy when he is idle and I know he'll be much more contented to be doing something he is interested in. I'll let you know how things move along with us. I'll assume you like to get a letter from me even if you do not write me, I know you do not have much time and if you [[strikethrough]] hate to write to fad the way [[strikethrough]] feel about writing letters the way Egbert does, I can forgive you. Love to you both & Dot Mary.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
