a while, nor from Monica. I didn't remember that she was in Vienna.

I should note that we have sent you gifts from three direction, so if all three don't come, let us know. We mailed one Saturday last, & two others are mail orders, one sent two weeks or more ago, one last Saturday, so we don't know when things will arrive.

This has been a very busy time for me. I had one hour exam (Russian) on Monday, one today (calculus) and the worst, in physics, comes next Tuesday. In Russian the exam was nothing; she grades us every day, in effect. In calculus I think I got it almost perfect. Physics frightens me. We made some x-mas cards last Thursday but I won't get to writing messages until next week sometime. I've just been mending a load too, 6 prs. of pants patched (small holes). That iron-on tape, tho' it still needs tacking, is wonderful for such purposes. 6 more pair of pants I had previously given up as gone (Jack's trousers, that is)!

We did have our party, finally, given by the Finks for Jack & Myron, last Sat. night. Myron enters the Army today, poor boy. He'll be a chaplain's assistant or play in an orchestra, he hopes, abroad, which shouldn't be too bad, but basic training will be hard on an artist-type.

Love, Doris
