Dear Folks,

Well, the thesis is over & I am $25 richer for it. This will allow me to purchase my stainless ( 4 place settings of 5 each) in our next trip to Chicago on June 9, & still have enough left to get summer shoes.

There is nothing much new here. Jack has one professor who is feeling irritated because his students have not been able to keep up with his long and tedious assignments; his reaction is to increase the assignments.... Jack has stopped doing them for a while. This is a very hard time as far as work is concerned for him, but in two weeks it will all be finished.

I am glad you liked the picture of Penelope. She shows no signs of wanting to have kittens, so we may never get one of hers; however, if we do not, we will get a cat anyway, as we could not be without one now. Her owners will return in early September, so we will have to leave Penelope with relatives of the owners just before we leave for Washington.

I'm thinking of taking a course this summer, analytical geometry. Now it looks as though I would have to go on 3/4 or even 1/2 time work to do so. We have enough money, I think, to do that. If I do take it now, that means I can take calculus and physics in the fall (it is a prerequisite for both).

We hope that you enjoyed yourselves in Massachusetts. If it is anything like this part of the country, it is still quite cold. I imagine our weather here is similar to that
