Dear folks,

This is going to be a very short letter because I have never been so busy as this week. I am in the middle of typing a 50-page thesis that must be done by next Friday morning--in two drafts. I have found a girl to help out in the late emergency period, fortunately. There is hardly time for house work and no recreation at all. I don't want to get into another situation like this.

We will come to Washington in the first week of September, starting Saturday, [[strikethrough]] or Friday [[/strikethrough]], September 1 and and returning in approximately two weeks. It takes two days to get to D.C. We look forward to seeing you and D.C.

So long for the present

Love,
Doris
