we will give a kitten, of course. We have also promised a kitten to a friend of the owners of the cat; others we can keep or sell. They sell for from $15 - $35 apiece. As well like her very well, we will probably keep a kitten (preferably female). The owners will return at the end of next summer, & she can bear kittens every 3 months--

I like barley in stews, but Jack does not. We usually have stew meat on rice, cooked separately. I made a very good dish of short ribs, onions, carrots, potatoes & spices the other night tho! We don't find much lamb around, but we must have some on of these days.

What do you mean, "The next tennis courses [[strikethrough]] [exams] [[/strikethrough]] won't be too much of a grind but some inspiration"? He won't change his course any; they are all on the same general level. The only progress he makes is from classical physics to such [[strikethrough]] fields [[/strikethrough]] specialties as atomic physics & relativity; etc, which aren't that much harder, but different. Possibly they are more inspiring. He will get a Ph.D. (if any). He won't go summers, will take on assistantship next fall (3 courses only). how much longer it takes, Jack will explain. I've said too much already!

Love, Doris
