Dear folks,

Again put off. I had a tetanus injection on Tuesday which made me feverish (I worked) and had little time or energy to write earlier.

Fine cold weather has set in. I bicycle to and from work, coming home at lunch to make lunch for Jack. We have an hour.

Jack is in the middle of his mid-term exams so we haven't been going about much, but Tuesday night we managed the usual movie (to which we have season tickets): "The Long Voyage Home", a very good picture made in about 1940.

Jack is doing the dishes now (lunch time) for breakfast; he usually has them done when I drive in. He is a model husband in that respect, don't you think?

We received the botany book some time ago, in case you are wondering. Thanks.

Thanksgiving itself is my only day off, so we cannot be in Chicago for the family turkey; we will be given another bird on Saturday, we trust.

In the office we have two fifteen-minute breaks a day, at which time the ladies go out to a coffee shop and drink, and, most often, eat pie or rolls. They eat so much! They are two in fifties, two in thirties: Lorolive, Kathleen, Millie and Alice. Hard workers all, and pleasant to work with.
