Dear folks,

Glad to hear that you are well under way & sound that the blight frost has blighted your scenery (and probably, put a damper on collecting things).

We got back from holiday on Wednesday afternoon. We brought back the bi-fi set and [[strikethrough]] have [[/strikethrough]] devoted most of yesterday to getting household things to make ourselves really comfortable... a table oilcloth, that is, & more pans. I want to serve lasagna Sat. nite to some friends.

I believe you, mother, wanted to hear some more about my art classes. Well, in Design we have had 4 problems, 3 of which were jury-graded (panel of teachers): the first, a flat design made by gluing pieces of colored construction paper on a whole sheet of same; 2, constructing a trilon out of plasticine with all emphasis on craftsmanship in getting "the marble" out of it and prevention of "swayback". I didn't do so well on these first two because I didn't take them seriously (C); 3 a tempara full-palate design on a big board (12"x9"
