Dear folks,

Happy New Year! We enjoyed both your presents and the unwrapping process, with all the nice little cards attached. The food we are just beginning to get into (we [[strikethrough]] went [[/strikethrough]] had so much to eat in Chicago). The towels, pens, underwear, sheets, etc. were all very practical. The gloves were pretty and the [[strikethrough]] lon [[/strikethrough]] knee socks the nicest I have ever seen (& a good fit). Jack like the shirt. The letter paper will come in handy when my present supply is used up.

We are concerned that you did not get the other package. It was to come from Pottery Fair, a place on Wisconsin Avenue. [[strikethrough]] Y [[/strikethrough]] I have just written them an angry letter. You might try calling them. I did not have the exact address.
